About

I’m Nora! I’ve lived a few different lives — writer, teacher, non-profit professional — before moving back to my hometown to be a flower farmer. I was looking for a volunteering gig while working from home when I fell in love with farming at the Urban Homestead in Pasadena. I’ve worked at a handful of other urban farms in SoCal, as well as a couple landscaping firms.

Since then, I’ve stewarded my own micro farm that focuses on growing cut flowers using regenerative, earth-friendly practices. La Feíta uses organic soil amendments and no pesticides — truly natural, chemical-free, locally grown flowers. It’s a two part project: growing flowers that bring joy into people’s lives and growing an ecosystem full of life right in my backyard.
